Programme Overview

Intermediate in Computer Science (ICS) at CAS is a two-year programme designed for students who are passionate about technology, computing, mathematics and innovation. The programme provides a strong academic foundation in computer science while developing analytical thinking, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Students gain essential knowledge of programming, computer systems and computational concepts, preparing them for higher education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and other technology-related fields.

Eligibility

Applicants for ICS should:

  • Have successfully completed Matriculation / SSC or an equivalent qualification.
  • Have an appropriate academic background for Intermediate-level studies.
  • Demonstrate an interest in Computer Science, Mathematics and technology.
  • Meet the relevant admission criteria and requirements of CAS.
  • Fulfil any additional requirements specified by the relevant educational board.

Course Structure

Duration: 2 Years

The ICS programme is generally divided into:

ICS Part-I — First Year

Students develop their foundation in Computer Science, Mathematics and other core subjects.

ICS Part-II — Second Year

Students advance their understanding of computing concepts, programming and mathematical applications while preparing for board examinations and future higher education.
